Peter Szok is a native of Midland, Michigan. He holds a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a PhD from Tulane in Latin American history. His current research project is based in Panama, where he is studying the development of Afrodiasporic popular art and its impact on nationalism and conceptions of ethnicity. Peter is an avid traveler and swimmer and an enthusiastic member of the Lake Worth Sailing Club.
